About Forte Infrastructure

Science-Backed.
Field-Proven.

Forte Infrastructure is a specialist consultancy combining advanced structural analysis with precision field testing — delivering pavement solutions engineered to perform under the most demanding traffic and environmental conditions.

We apply mechanistic-empirical methods, finite element modelling, and validated nondestructive testing protocols to every project — bridging the gap between rigorous analysis and practical engineering.

From greenfield design to complex rehabilitation, our work is guided by data, driven by precision, and built on a deep understanding of pavement mechanics and material behaviour.

What We Offer

Engineering
Services

End-to-end pavement consultancy — from initial structural design through to assessment, modelling, and rehabilitation — grounded in rigorous engineering analysis.

01

Pavement Design & Engineering

Mechanistic-empirical and analytical design of flexible (asphalt) and rigid (concrete) pavements for new construction and structural overlays — to international standards including AASHTO, Austroads, and EN.

AsphaltConcreteM-E
02

Structural Assessment & Evaluation

Comprehensive evaluation of existing pavements: layer moduli back-calculation, load-bearing capacity, remaining service life, and condition rating — using field data and validated analytical models.

Back-CalcModuliLifespan
03

Nondestructive Testing (NDT)

In-situ structural assessment using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), and Rolling Weight Deflectometers including the Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD) — delivering high-resolution structural data without disruption to operations.

04

Finite Element & Numerical Modelling

Advanced simulation of pavement response under complex loading and temperature conditions — using finite element and predefined element approaches to solve design challenges beyond the reach of standard methods.

FEMSimulationAnalysis
05

Rehabilitation & Maintenance Strategy

Data-driven rehabilitation planning — overlay design, in-place recycling, surface treatments — prioritised by structural performance data and lifecycle cost analysis to maximise investment return.

Nondestructive Testing

See Beneath
the Surface.

Subsurface structural data — collected at speed, without disruption — using the most advanced nondestructive testing equipment available in pavement engineering.

Advanced Field Diagnostics

Precision Tools.
Reliable Data.

GPR surveys provide continuous cross-sectional imaging of pavement layers — identifying thickness variations, internal voids, delamination, and moisture infiltration at driving speed, with no lane closure required.

FWD testing applies a controlled impulse load to the pavement surface and measures the resulting deflection bowl — enabling back-calculation of layer moduli and accurate assessment of structural capacity and remaining life.

Rolling Weight Deflectometers (RWD), including the Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD), extend this capability to network scale — capturing continuous deflection data at traffic speed across entire road networks or airfield pavements, feeding directly into pavement management and rehabilitation planning.
